Electrode (Anode) Development Engineer
Status: Professional Exempt
SUMMARY: To be an integral part of our solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) development team. Provide technical expertise relating to SOFC anode development and manufacture including preparing pastes and/or slurries and forming desired geometries using novel powder precursors. The work will also include formulation of suitable electrode inks, characterization of inks before application, development of new application techniques, and various post-sintering techniques.
Required Functions:
- Expertise in SOFC electrode materials and relevant experience in the field is essential.
- Proven industrial ceramic processing and equipment experience
- Experience with suspension rheology, colloid chemistry are plus
- Ability to operate in a small team with a minimum of supervision.
- Complies with laboratory, State and Federal health, safety, fire and environmental policies.
- Works overtime as required
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Material Science with 3+ year’s industrial experience PhD in relevant field with SOFC electrode materials & application techniques and relevant post-doctoral or industrial experience.
