The Revolution™ 60C Charger is a portable battery charging solution based on an advanced tubular SOFC technology for the commercial and military markets. With a multitude of features, this product can be tailored to specifi c applications and can be packaged in a modular format (i.e., rack mount) for more permanent service requirements.

The cell development strategy at NanoDynamics has focused on maximizing the available power per cell while maintaining operational stability. Optimization is achieved via both material and physical changes to the basic cell concept. Over the last four years, the power output from a single cell has more than doubled each year.

Innovations in cell design have led to improvements in stack power output and effi ciency. Volumetric power density has also increased, enabling over 100W to be produced in a smaller package than the current stack utilized by the Revolution 50H and 60C. This modular stack design combined with internal reforming technology developed at NanoDynamics has been used to demonstrate a stack producing over 300W operating on propane. This technology will be optimized and used as the basis for the Revolution 250 unit currently under development.
